About Hypnosis.
About Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis is a perfectly natural state, midway between the wake state and the sleep state, and one which virtually everyone has experienced, possibly without knowing it. For example have you even awoken in the morning from a vivid dream and just for a few moments found you could not differentiate between the dream and reality. Or have you ever taken a journey, by train, bus, car whatever and arrived at your destination without being aware of the details of the journey. It's rather like daydreaming. You do not become unconscious but you do achieve a state of total relaxation where you are aware of what is being said to you, but you feel slightly detached and unreal. Hypnotherapy itself is not a modern treatment, it is as old as time, in fact the ancient civilisations knew of it and practiced it.

What Hypnosis can achieve
Hypnosis can be used successfully for a wide variety of treatments. Compulsive behaviour, ie smoking, gambling, nail biting, alcohol abuse, weight control etc.
Sleep disorders, stress and anxiety, gaining self confidence.
Fears and phobic states, for example fear of confined spaces, the dentist, the dark, spiders, to name but a few of the most common.
In fact it's uses are many and manifold and it is very successful. It is also very pleasant, most people after their first experience are surprised just how much they have enjoyed it, so why not let me help you?
